The EPA and CDC strongly recommend that ALL homebuyers have an indoor radon test performed prior to purchase or taking occupancy of a new home. If high radon levels are found (4 picocuries/Liter or higher requires mitigation), the radon levels should be mitigated through a radon mitigation system.

Data from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment found approximately 50% of Colorado homes have radon levels higher than the recommended level, and these homes are spread throughout the state, not just concentrated in one area. 

It’s important to test no matter where you live in Colorado.
